I forgot to tell everyone that my BFF Jonny has a new roommate. A 4-month old Chihuahua named Samson.
So far Samson is pretty cool. We played fierce games together today and wrestled around. He was fierce, I was gentle and careful. My people tell me my hurt hip is all healed but they've decided I can't play with my friend Maxi the Rottweiler anymore since she's so much bigger twice as big as I am. She's the one who hurt me. That's OK with me. I like playing with her but she isn't my favorite playmate or anything. That would be Jonny! Chloe and Faith are favorites too. And Maury the cat.
I saw Maxi and her man and woman on Sunday. Her woman freaked out because I'm a "scary" German Shepherd so Maxi freaked out on me so I told Maxi that wasn't acceptable behavior. Once her woman wandered off, Maxi was fine. Her woman made Maxi and her man leave though. Since I got hurt, my woman started taking an online massage class for dog's with hip problems. I'm enjoying the class! Today, I got a 2 hour massage, head to tail!!!! It felt gooooood! She also started adding fish oil into my evening supplements. I have had problems with fish oil in the past. I can do one whole fish oil capsule now and my man is going to start adding more to my morning supplements. I'll be getting it drop by drop until I either get 2 capsules of fish oil or I reach my tummy limit. I still get my salmon though!!!!! My people got me some stuff to try to help me with my fear of fireworks. I got something called a "Thundershirt" that is like a blanket I wear and I got some music CDs to listen to. I really like the music. My woman put it on her music thingy and it plays pretty much all the time. It makes me feel very calm! I even like wearing my blanket thing. It looks kind of like the stuff my people wear that they call "shirts." I guess that makes me people! Hope they still treat me like a dog or I'm going to have to bite them!!!!!!! |
