Early Monday morning I started waking my man up by pressing my nose on a spot on his belly and I did it a couple of times after he got up.
Then that afternoon, stuff came out from where he had surgery and the trucks with the flashing lights came and took him away. My woman said he had an infection that no one knew about and it formed an abscess and that was what came out of him all over the floor. The spot I kept sniffing was the healed suture spot where the stuff went through his skin. My woman put me in the bedroom and when I came out, he was gone, and the firemen were cleaning the floor. He's still in the hospital. :-( Life has been good lately! My man is home all day so we don't have to rush walks. I've been seeing more friends out on my walks and I've made some new friends to play with. I had my 1-month check up at the rehab vet last month and my sprained hock is all healed up and she said I didn't have to be back for 4-6 weeks. For the past year, my visits have been every 4 weeks. I've pulled the tongue off Thing again and have pulled an ear off of Monkey a few times. My woman sews those parts back on for me to tear off again. The neighborhood has lots of cats roaming again so there's lots to get excited and bark at. Until the coyotes realize there are more cats and start hunting in our neighborhood again but I like to bark at the coyotes too. Toys and blankets die when I see cats! I even saw a cat being chased across the street by a raccoon a couple nights ago. Whatever was in the wetlands every few nights that scared me and the other dogs has left. My people don't know what I was smelling since most wild animals I've encountered during my travels make me really excited. And that includes cougars, bears, and wolves. I won't tell them either. They don't call me Chance "Tight Lips" for nothing! Pictures from last August! |
