Some Of My Favorite Things!
Herding

Last Update: November 2012

My people had to work really hard to redirect me from my urge to heel every time something moves.  Now I just do it when I get overly excited or when I'm playing with friends!  I also still bite butts if things refuse to move!  I also do cattle dog yips to get things moving.

My people say my 2 sides get in the way though which makes it hard for me to herd things!  The German Shepherd in me acts as a living fence to keep things safely contained.  The Australian Cattle Dog in me makes me want to move things along.  So sometimes I will yip, heel and nip a butt to get something moving and then get in front of it and be a living fence to not let it move while still doing the cattle dog stuff to move it!
